Our origin

Born inside a working Tuscan quarry.

StoneCloud did not begin in a software studio. It began at the Saturnia travertine quarries in southern Tuscany, where the cost of a wrong assumption is measured in metres of lost stone.

At Saturnia Travertini, running the quarry and the processing lines meant reconciling survey data, bench plans, machine time, block yards and customer orders — each living in its own system, its own spreadsheet, its own memory. The stone is unforgiving: when information lags behind the mountain, yield is lost and promises break.

So the tools that became StoneCloud were built where the work happens — tested in dust, daylight and gloves, refined against real production weeks. What started as one quarry's way of knowing itself became a platform for the whole natural stone industry.

That origin still sets the standard: every feature has to work at the quarry face before it earns a place in the office.
